Role Specification

The Partner Programme Manager is an integral part of the developing and managing the new event programme – MWC Americas Tours & Experience programme. As part of the GSMA Partnership Team, the Partner Programme Manager will work with team members to develop, support, implement and market the various partner-supported MWC Americas tours and experiential, customer-focused activities taking place at MWC Americas 2017 held in San Francisco, US from Tuesday – Thursday, September 12-14, 2017.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Partnership team to implement the Tours & Experience Programme
  • Manage tactical execution of marketing campaign elements through internal channels with support of departmental and agency resources
  • Lead the fulfillment and implementation of MWC Tours & Experience activities through GSMA channels and departments including exhibition, marketing, social media, member services and PR
  • Support the fulfillment of partner contracts within the GSMA marketing channels and sponsorship requirements within the MWC Tours & Experience Programme.
  • Lead the creation and development of one or more of the MWC attendee orientation programmes
  • Work with internal GSMA channels to publish, promote and easily receive Self-Guided Tours
  • Assist in the implementation of the exhibitor programme which connects the exhibitor to its target attendees
  • Proof read all marketing elements for the MWC Tour & Experience programmes for all GSMA marketing channels, attendee emails and other written material for internal and external use
  • Support the MWC Experience Senior Manager to update and manage the budget
  • Ensure internal brand standards compliance across marketing efforts
  • Assist the team on any tour elements that might be required along the way

 

Qualifications

This position requires focus and attention to detail and good communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to coordinate with internal teams, external partners and attendees. The ideal candidate must be a collaborative team player who works across different time zones but can also work independently on projects. The position will report to the Senior Partnership Manager and lead of the MWC Tours & Experience.

  • BA/BS required (Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field)
  • 7+years progressive marketing, advertising, events, or sponsorship experience
  • Business to Business marketing campaign experience is a plus
  • Project Ownership and Self-Direction:  ability to run a project from start to finish with minimal oversight
  • Great organization skills: must be able to manage multiple projects
  • Adaptable for an international and multi-cultural organization
  • Can-do attitude, willing to roll up sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Collaborative style with experience in building relationships
  • Ability to provide clear direction, to organize resources and give guidance needed to bring tasks to completion
  • Experience copy writing and editing
  • Graphic arts experience is a plus
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, ability to deal effectively with multiple departments within a global organization and to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
