The GSMA seeks a talented and experienced Senior Sales Manager to deliver its Mobile World Live branded services across the North American market.

Mobile World Live (www.mobileworldlive.com) is the GSMA’s online media service. It is a fast growing arm of the GSMA responsible for editorial services including the Mobile World Live Daily e-newsletter, weekly e-newsletters focused on the apps, devices and money space, an Asia regional edition and Chinese, Spanish & French language editions. In addition, the division produces Mobile World Live TV, the award-winning official broadcast service of Mobile World Congress.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep understanding of digital media and experience in presenting B2B media propositions. The role requires someone who is flexible, ideally with experience of working in global teams across different time-zones. Whilst the majority of the work will be carried out at the GSMA's offices in San Francisco, travel will be required from time-to-time.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Identifying prospects from the GSMA’s extensive sales database, contacting them and building relationships that provide media sales opportunities
  • Using the wide set of media products available to generate revenues against a quarterly target
  • Liaise with sales teams in the GSMA’s events business to identify opportunities
  • Liaise with sales director on an ongoing basis to develop new products and revenue streams.

Specific criteria and competencies required:

  • Media sales experience at a senior level in the digital B2B market
  • Proven success developing and implementing B2B sales strategies and campaigns that deliver commercial impact
  • Proven success managing international sales campaigns and tailoring requirements to different regions
  • Team management (including development and recruitment)
  • Senior stakeholder management exposure
  • Collaborative in nature
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
