The GSMA Ltd seeks a talented and experienced Sales Executive to sell its start-up event, 4YFN.  GSMA Ltd is the commercial arm of the GSMA Mutual Trade Association. Our flagship event is the Mobile World Congress, held in Barcelona each February. MWC is one of the largest business to business events in the world attracting over 100,000 visitors and over 2,000 exhibitors. We also run its sister events - MWC Shanghai and MWC Americas.

4YFN is a side event run alongside MWC, focused on the innovation and start up community.  It attracts 20,000 attendees in its own right. It has run for the last 4 years in Barcelona, and is now in its second year in Shanghai alongside MWC Shanghai, and for the first time this year in San Francisco alongside MWC Americas. 4YFN brings mobile entrepreneurs, innovators and new starts ups together in an educational environment. It provides a real hands on experience that will help entrepreneurs get to the next level.

Responsibilities include:

- Selling exhibtiion, sponsorship and advertising opportunities to relevant companies in the start-up industry ie accelerators, VCs, corporatse, and start-ups themselves

- Meeting and exceeding personal sales targets as well as overall event targets

- Managing the full sales cycle from sourcing leads, to pitching, planning and closing deals

- Selling over the phone and in face to face meetings

- Offer a first-class, professional sales and account management service to commercial partners and to build strong business relationships at all levels

Ideal candidate will have event sales experience, although we will consider advertising, sponsorship or digital sales experience.  Furthermore they need to have a good understanding of the mobile and tech industries, and particularly the start-up community.  The role is based in Barcelona and therefore fluent English, Spanish and Catalan are a must.  The role will require global travel.
